As Vice President of Risk, Kimberley Hocking evaluates, measures, monitors and reports key risks for APM. This involves developing and overseeing an integrated, enterprise-wide risk management framework that supports APM’s strategic objectives of building and maintaining a strong risk management culture. In the risk department, Kimberley facilitates APM’s risk assessment, internal audit, quality assurance and vendor management programs. She also oversees closing agent approval and consumer complaints. In addition to risk management, Kimberley has worked in APM’s production, quality assurance and compliance departments, with many of her roles were surrounding risk management.
Kimberley has been with APM since she started in the industry, almost 19 years ago. She maintains memberships and/or affiliations with organizations including the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), American Association of Residential Mortgage Regulators (AARMR) and the California Mortgage Bankers Association (CMBA). She has been an active participant in MBA’s committees that focus on risk management, legal issues and regulatory compliance, and state legislative and regulatory issues. Kimberley also serves as an APMCares Board Member.
When she’s not working, Kimberley loves spending time with her husband, three adult children and two stepchildren, which are referred to as the “FabFive.” She also enjoys live music, golfing, exploring the outdoors and traveling to new places.
